Pears with Raspberry Sauce
|
INGREDIENTS
1 pint raspberries, reserve 18 raspberries 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup granulated sugar or maple sugar 6 pears |

DIRECTIONS |

Combine raspberries, water and sugar in small saucepan. Heat to a gentle boil. Remove from heat. Allow to cool 10 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve and press through with a small wooden spoon to remove seeds. Peel and quarter pears, arrange on plates. Spoon raspberry sauce over pears. Garnish each plate with reserved raspberries.
Notes: Equivalent amount of artificial sweetener can be used, if desired. Very low calorie and no fat, a decadent dessert.
