Petit Fours Berry Shortcakes
|
INGREDIENTS
1/2 package (17.3 oz.) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet)
3 cups fresh sliced strawberries *
2 tablespoons sugar
1 container (16 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
OR 4 cups sweetened whipped cream **
2 squares (1 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate, melted

DIRECTIONS |

THAW pastry sheet at room temperature 30 min. Preheat oven to 400°F. TOSS strawberries with sugar. UNFOLD pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Cut into 3 strips along fold marks. Cut each strip into 3 squares, and cut each square into quarters, making a total of 36 (1 1/4") squares. Place squares 1" apart on greased or parchment-lined baking sheets. BAKE for 15 min. or until golden. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire rack. SPLIT pastries into 2 layers. Spread 1 tbsp. whipped topping on each bottom layer. Top each with 1 strawberry slice, 1 tbsp. whipped topping and a top layer. Drizzle chocolate over pastries. Makes 36 pastries.
